On April 7, the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau of Huishui County and the Ganchang Village Committee of Lianjiang Street jointly donated 161,000 yuan in charity funds to Xiao Chenchen (pseudonym), a patient with congenital thalassemia.

At the age of two, Xiao Chenchen was diagnosed with congenital thalassemia, requiring monthly medical expenses of around 2,000 yuan. Over the past eight years, Xiao Chenchen's family has incurred nearly 200,000 yuan in medical expenses. In 2023, Xiao Chenchen's father tragically passed away, leaving his mother as the family's breadwinner, relying on odd jobs to support her three sisters and their grandparents.
On April 19th of this year, Xiao Chenchen needed a hematopoietic stem cell transplant, urgently requiring over 200,000 yuan in treatment costs. Upon learning of this situation, the County Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau and the Ganchang Village Committee of Lianjiang Subdistrict, in collaboration with Guizhou Chengyou Wangji Shanyuan Food Co., Ltd. and Guizhou Tianhong Zhiyuan Wire and Cable Co., Ltd., provided support to Xiao Chenchen's family, encouraging them to remain confident, overcome difficulties, and strive to live a good life. "We are grateful to the caring companies and individuals who helped us overcome this difficult time.
